Last Tuesday night at around 10PM, Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) responded to shots being fired near the intersection of New York Street and Cerritos Avenue.

Upon arrival, LBPD found a 29-year-old male bicyclist seriously injured with multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to a local hospital where he is expected to survive.

The name of the victim is currently being withheld. The suspect is being described as possibly a Black male in his twenties, who apparently drove by in a dark compact car while firing.
