Army private from Long Beach found dead after complaining of sexual harassment

Seal Beach police release video of officer shooting man in January

2 teens arrested in slaying of 17-year-old at Silverado Park basketball court, police say

Long Beach to open 50 overnight parking spaces to unhoused people near the Queen Mary

Beginning March 20, the city is expanding its Safe Parking Program to offer 50 overnight parking spaces in a parking lot near the Queen Mary. The site will have security officers, a pet relief area, hand-washing facilities and restrooms.

Ex-city employee pleads not guilty in woman’s overdose death

Jarid Nakamura allegedly walked into the Long Beach Police Department’s headquarters on March 6 and told homicide detectives that he supplied the drugs that killed 36-year-old Sokly Sar in July 2020.
