Is city-sanctioned public drinking still punk rock?
This Sunday, Vans Warped Tour is hosting a free block party in downtown Long Beach, where visitors can buy and enjoy beer, wine and specialty cocktails while watching three bands perform on an outdoor stage. It’s all part of the city’s experiment with events that allow public drinking in the hopes of drawing more activity downtown.
