sereedOn Thursday, April 25, the Long Beach Post hosted an event to honor young people from around the city who are doing great things to better their community and beyond. Out of hundreds of nominations from our readers, judges chose 40 winners who run the gamut from educators to artists to business owners to community activists, all of whom represent just a selection of those who are today contributing to the betterment of Long Beach.

Sé is a small business owner, web developer and a self proclaimed internet geek. She helps businesses develop websites and use the internet to help their companies grow and thrive. Sé was once a small business owner herself, operating the used book store, {open}, which became a cultural force and eventually moved to a Retro Row location before going on haitus last November. Sé has also served as President of the East Village Arts District and helped propel their Tour de Artistes event into an art and music festival that drew thousands to the downtown area.
