It’s almost time for our annual celebration of romance, Valentine’s Day. For those who may be feeling the pressure to make the day memorable, here’s five ideas on where to take your sweetheart for a romantic meal with all the fixings.

The Downtown restaurant and bar will feature a three-course prix fixe menu that includes a main course of a filet mignon or duck breast accompanied by wild mushroom risotto and dessert including a rose panna cotta with coconut, macerated strawberries and pistachio crumble.

Also Downtown, Cafe Sevilla is offering a four-course prix fixe menu, along with a live show starring Robert Incelli’s Latin jazz band.

For an evening of both dining and dancing, Cafe Sevilla will also be offering a flamenco dinner show at 7 p.m., salsa and bachata lessons, and dancing till 2 a.m. along with a three-course Spanish lobster paella meal.

The Cave is offering a prix fixe menu that includes two complimentary glasses of Champagne. Guests will be offered a variety of choices of a tomahawk steak or a filet mignon with port wine reduction sauce with a variety of sides from bourbon glazed carrots to truffle smashed potatoes. The Valentine’s Day special will run Feb. 10-14.

Guests will be treated to a “welcome” daquiri along with a five-course prix fixe menu that includes a Hawaiian salad followed by main courses selections such as the rum marinated steak with ginger garlic prawns, Korean spinach, carrot ginger purée, scallions, chives and an edible flower. For the final course, a Thai tea crème brulee or coconut pudding will be served.

Harbor Breeze Cruises

How about a voyage around the Long Beach Harbor with views of local landmarks, a live saxophone player and dinner? Harbor Breeze Cruises is offering a three-hour dinner cruise Feb. 11.

Reservations are required for the dinner. Boarding starts at 6:30 p.m. with the event running from 7 to 9:30 p.m. The boarding location is Rainbow Harbor, Dock 2, with the closest driving address at 100 Aquarium Way. Click here for more info.
