Hallow’s Eve is here—the only day in the year where it is socially acceptable to embrace alter egos and dress up as favorite real or fictional characters. Here are five Halloween celebrations for anyone still looking for last minute plans beyond the usual neighborhood trick-or-treat.

Trick-or-Treat Halloween Carnival 

540 Cerritos Avenue Time: 6:00PM to 8:30PM

Cost: FREE

Looking for family fun? The annual trick-or-treat carnival, located at Franklin Middle School, will be filled with food trucks, bounce houses, games and other activities for every member in the family to enjoy. Hosted by the Garden Church, anyone who attends will receive two free raffle tickets for a chance of winning a $350 gift card pack, second row Laker tickets with a parking pass, and various types of bicycles.

Halloween Screening at Art Theatre 

2025 East Fourth Street

Time: 7:00PM Cost: Adult- $11, Children/Senior- $8

The classic thriller film “Halloween” is returning to the big screen again at Long Beach’s Art Theatre. In case you haven’t seen it, the movie takes place 1960s as 6-year-old Michael Myers stabbed his sister to death and ended up in a mental hospital. He escapes and after 15 years of being locked up, he is still motivated to kill.

Halloween SPOOKFEST at Long Beach Towne Center 

7575 Carson Boulevard

Time: 5:00PM to 8:00PM

Cost: Free

Long Beach Towne Center will be hosting a three-hour-long Halloween event at the Promenade, in front of Edward’s Theater. The event will be filled with trick-or-treaters, exciting games and prizes, along with musical entertainment. Everyone is encouraged to wear their costume—spookier the better.

Dark Harbor – Halloween Costume Ball & LGBT Night 

1126 Queens Highway

Time: 7:00PM to midnight

Cost: $29

Do you feel confident that your costume will be the center of attention at any party? If so, attend tonight’s costume ball as part of The Queen Mary’s Dark Harbor and participate in their costume contest. The event will be hosted by Bridget Marquardt, and Drag Queen Jewels will host a special edition of Starlette Revue Halloween Drag Show at the main stage. Live entertainment will be provided by DJ Rod Epic, in addition to the mazes Dark Harbor has to offer.

Halloween Costume Party at The Brit 

1744 East Broadway

Time: 10:00PM to 2:00AM

Cost: drinks for sale

It might be Monday, but the weekend doesn’t have to be over— especially on Halloween Day. The Brit extended their happy hour specials until closing, and it is the best way to end the start of the work week. Be sure to wear your Halloween costumes since there will also be a costume contest at midnight.
