The 2nd Annual Long Beach County Fair at First Fridays will grace Atlantic Ave. with “seeders, feeders, eaters and creators” in an effort to showcase the frenzy of green-minded, food-centric and sustainability-driven organizations in town.

On Friday, April 3 between 6:30PM and 9:30PM many of these environmentally considerate groups, such as Leaf & Fin, Long Beach Fresh, Green Prize Festival, Growing Experience, Intellectual Virtues Academy Green Team, Spring Street Farm and the City of Long Beach Office of Sustainability, to name a few, will be located in the main room of the Expo Arts Center. Chef Paul Buchanan of Primal Alchemy will provide a range of his always-creative delectable fare, while a tower garden display and a visit from Formula E-car of the inaugural Long Beach ePrix will also be filling the Expo Center, to the brim, it seems, with the word on green.

Other earth-friendly happenings will include Salon Medusa hosting carnival games and selling tickets at the door of which the proceeds will go toward the Aveda Earth Month fundraiser. TALB will feature music, activities and discussions with Beach Greens, a family-owned business that delivers sustainable produce to your doorstep.

Carnival games throughout the Atlantic corridor, Heritage bacon-wrapped bison Italian sausage on a stick and of course, a host of musical guests, including Father & Suns and that Cover Band, will liven up the street county-fair style for a rip roarin’ Friday night.

Stop by Clover at 3803 Atlantic Ave. from 6:30PM to 8:00PM to find all the information about First Fridays, business info and restaurant recommendations. For more information online, you can visit the Facebook event page here.
