Ring in the beginning of this beautiful spring season with a stroll through the Rancho Los Cerritos historic gardens amongst the rarely-seen, now-blooming wisteria flowers.

During the early 1930’s during a comprehensive renovation to the historical site, a wisteria arbor was created. Each year, the wisteria only show their magnificent purple blossoms for a brief moment in the spring and, with the right conditions, can last a few weeks. However, with our hotter weather, this bloom is apt to wilt by the end of the week.

Currently, the wisteria are in full bloom, so those interested in experiencing this earth-given phenomenon should head over to the ranch before the petals begin to droop. The Rancho is open Wednesday through Sunday from 1:00PM to 5:00PM. Tours of the two-story adobe home are free and, on weekends at 2:30PM, they offer a free garden tour.

The wisteria arbor is in the back yard, opposite the forecourt gate.

Rancho Los Cerritos is located at 4600 Virginia Rd.
