1:57pm | More than 30 businesses will offer food, drink and merchandise specials as part of the Downtown Long Beach Associates’ (DLBA) Halloween in Downtown promotion Monday, October 31 beginning at 6:00pm.
Halloween in Downtown will feature a variety of activities, discounts and special offers for the 21-and-older crowd. Each participating location will feature a frightening clue displayed prominently in a window or near the entrance. Participants are encouraged to write down as many clues as possible and turn them in on a form that is available on the DLBA website by 5:00pm on Tuesday, November 1 to the DLBA. The participant with the most correct answers will win a $250 Downtown Gift Card, which can be redeemed at more than 100 participating businesses.
From Kiss of the Vampire cocktails at Shannon’s on Pine to Ghoulish Lattes at Berlin by Portfolio Coffeehouse, there will be something for everyone to enjoy in Downtown this Halloween. Other venues will offer delicious treats and some will feature discounted merchandise or services.
Participating businesses include: Alegria Cocina Latina, Alondra Hot Wings, Berlin By Portfolio Coffeehouse, Bliss525, Broadway Pizza & Grill, Cohiba Night Club, Coldstone Creamery, District Wine, Gaucho Grill, George’s Greek Café, Gourmet Churros, Hamburger Marys, Hooters of Long Beach, It’s a Grind Coffee, JMS Architecture, Kabob Curry, King’s Fish House, Long Beach Depot for Creative Reuse, Octopus Japanese Restaurant, Outback Steakhouse, Reflection, Rock Bottom Brewery & Restaurant, Sevilla of Long Beach, Shannon’s on Pine, Sip, Stefano’s Pizza, Subway, The Auld Dubliner, The Lil Smoke Shop, Utopia and Vin De Pay.
Costumes are highly encouraged as some participating venues will offer prizes for the creepy creative types. Participants can download a free map of all participating venues at www.downtownlongbeach.org.
