Welcome to Day 4 of the Long Beach Post Treasure Hunt, and, as they say, you’re getting warmer.
By our guess, you’ve made it to yet another park, unless you overshot your mileage in which case you’re soaking wet now.
We’ve had some reports from hunters getting stranded in Recreation Park. That’s the wrong park. You won’t find any treasure there. The park you want has a pleasant vista of a marina.
Some of our more intrepid treasure hunters got there early. Take another selfie, with your stuffed animal, standing by a sign that indicates that we aren’t wrong about the fact that there’s a vista of the marina. Post the photo to Instagram at #LBPostTreasureHunt, or send it to [email protected]. Even though there might be a pleasant view of the marina here, we don’t want any marina pictures. This is all about the sign. And your stuffed animal.
We should also tell people in search of the treasure (a dinner for four at the Boathouse on the Bay followed by, or preceded by, a Duffy boat cruise on Alamitos Bay and the Naples canals) that it’s never too late to begin your hunt. This isn’t a race, it’s a contest anybody can win! (Except for employees of the Post, because we’d already have won if we were eligible.)
