On the fourth Monday of every month, something Not Robot Not Human takes over the Puka Bar. Kyle Conner is the mastermind/organizer/curator of these monthly events that feature experimental music performances by artists from around the Southland.
Tonight’s show features Hop-Frog’s Drum Jester Devotional, an offshoot of the larger Hop-Frog Kollectiv, which will be performing as part of the Slow Sound Festival in September, and in SoundWalk on October 3rd. The DJD, depending upon the night, switches back and fourth between drone, electronica, acoustic post-apacolyptic folk, and electrified rock tinged with saffron and cardamom. Also performing is The Littlest Viking, Big Epoch Vs Amokian (one half of White Trash Firecracker), and Basidiomycota.
The Puka Bar is located at 710 West Willow Street, just East of the 710 Freeway. The show starts at 8 PM, and is free. The venue is 21+, so bring your ID.
See you there!
