Summer And Music continues its amazing run this Saturday from 3 to 7 PM with intimate performances by So Many Wizards and The Fall Trees. The music series is sponsored by 2nd District Council member Suja Lowenthal, the DLBA, and the RDA. The East Village Art Park is located on the East side of Elm, just South of Broadway.
The brain child of Nima Kazerouni, So Many Wizards seems rooted in a kind of innocence lost in the late ’60s. Arrangements range from sparse to lush, with melodies that sound suprisingly fresh, and lyrics that embrace optimism without feeling naive.
Decidedly lo-fi, and focusing more on feel than finesse, The Fall Trees grope blindly toward the sublime and, surprisingly, discover it from time to time.
