Antonio Pedro Ruiz is a cultural dynamo, an avid enthusiast of all the arts, and a creative spirit in his own right.  He’s also a tireless advocate for the arts, and the creative community.  He’s in his second term serving on the board of the Arts Council for Long Beach, co-founded The Creativity Network, is active in the Atlantic Connected Corridor project, and is spearheading the ArtPEACE project in conjunction with the City’s Human Dignity office.  He also produced a televised town-hall meeting called “Re-Imagining The Arts In Long Beach,” and has advanced meaningful dialog through regular salon-style gatherings and forums.

Antonio and I talk often and, when it was revealed that a new bureau of arts and cultural affairs might be formed in the City Manager’s office, he invited me to go ‘on record’ for The Creativity Network regular on-line Podcast.
