I went to diPiazza’s Restaurant and Lounge this past Saturday to catch a super-fun local band that’s been packing them in for quite a while.  My wife and I arrived just a few minutes before the band started playing and it was standing room only!

Here’s how they describe themselves:

SHAKE and the Chantoosies:  A variety band from the Twilight Zone of the Hit Parade playing songs from the 1930’s through the end of the twentieth century covering an amazing number of musical genres and some originals.
Featuring Jon Erickson: woodwinds / accordion / piano / vocals / & more,
Shelley RuggThorp: vocals / percussion, Lary Moore: woodwinds / guitar / uke / vocals,
Mary Ann Heimann: bass / piano / vocals, Ray Kula: guitar / mandolin / vocal,
Mary Jane North-Mata: percussion / vocals, Juan Mata: drums, Tom Williams: woodwinds.

Listen to a brief audio sample!
