7/1/16 at 1:13PM | New York rapper, former chef and Viceland personality Action Bronson and Atlanta-based hip hop artist Kelechi are among the headliners set to get the audience rolling at this summer’s free Dew Tour skateboarding competition, coming to Long Beach July 22-24, the tour announced this week. A third musical act will be announced later this month.

The concert will come mid-tour, on Saturday, July 23 at the Terrace Theater at Long Beach’s Convention Center. In addition to music, the competition will feature individual and team competitors, as well as the TRANSWORLD SKATEBOARDING Shop Showdown, an innovative tech zone, sponsor village and public skate park. Action Bronson Face PhotoBronson first rolled on the scene as a chef, tried his hand at music, and combined both for the Viceland show “F*ck That’s Delicious.” As the son of an Albanian immigrant man and a Jewish mother from Queens, he’s known for his wild onstage antics and humor. His hip hop, laced with typical rap topics that lean slightly misogynistic, becomes something greater with infusions of bluesy sound and intelligent food references. His food poetry comes across onstage: he once threw slabs of meat to eager fans at a New York concert. Last year, the New York Times dubbed him as “one of the most promising prospects in New York hip-hop.”

Kelechi is a Nigerian-American rapper and winner of the Mtn Dew Green Label Sound: Open Call competition. He’ll be opening the show, warming the audience up with songs touching upon social topics, as he blends the percussion and melodies of his parents’ homeland with the hard-hitting drums and harmonies of Atlanta’s rap sound.

Tickets for the concert run approximately $30 and are available here

The rest of the competition includes a team competition, on Sunday, July 24, where nine teams made up of 36 of the world’s best skaters will face off against each other, as well as the individual competition on Saturday, with individual skaters battling it out.

VIP tickets for the event are available here. VIP passes will offer guests exclusive viewing areas closer to the action, athletes and reimagined course, as well as access to all film screenings, the Saturday night concert, free food, drinks and more.
