Justin Rudd’s annual Blessing of the Pets brought out a large crowd. Everyone wants to have their pets blessed by A bishop, a Protestant minister, a Luthern preacher and a Goddess priestess, right? And to do it alongside a sloth, a beautiful horse, a python and a porcupine?
Priceless!
I mean, even if you don’t have a pet, you’ll still want to come and watch the festivities…that of course is what I did!
Take a look at these images. Pretend you’re there. Try to feel what it’s like to watch an alligator be blessed by a catholic bishop. My highlight was watching a 12′ python being blessed while a little Chihuahua pranced about as if there was no danger in the air. Oh if they only knew.
