With just under two weeks left until Halloween, make sure to check out one of the many scary—and not-so scary— events still available in Long Beach that are sure to keep you in the holiday spirit.

Long Beach Music Collective will present Fangs for Everything, a seasonal collaboration between artists for All Hallow’s Eve. The show takes place on Monday, October 26 and starts at 6:30PM. It will commence at 4th Street Vine, 2142 East Fourth Street. Performers include Astrolazer, King Kang, Queen Califia, The Crooked Squares, and Hellgal. The event is free and will also feature a fortune teller and caricature artist.

Long Beach Rocky Horror will celebrate the month of October and its 40th anniversary with a performance of the Rocky Horror Picture Show at the Art Theatre Long Beach, 2025 East Fourth Street. Show starts at 11:55PM on Saturday, October 24, and October 31. The cost is $9 with student IDs, $11 w/out.

The Frida Cinema will present a screening of John Carpenter’s 1978 slasher film Halloween at the Sunnyside Cemetery on Saturday, October 31. The cemetery is located at 1095 East Willow Street. Gates open at 6:30PM; costume party 8:15PM; film at 8:30PM. Tickets $12 online or $15 cash-only at the door.

The Historical Society of Long Beach will present its 20th annual Historical Cemetery Tour at the Long Beach Municipal Cemetery and Sunnyside Cemetery. The tours take place on Saturday, October 31, at 1095 East Willow Street. Performances run continuously from 9:00AM to 2:30PM, with guided tours at 9:00AM, 10:00AM, 11:00AM and noon. The tours include graveside presentations by actors dressed in that era. General admission is $20. Check the website for more details.

The El Dorado Nature Center will hold its Howl-oween Festival on Friday, October 30, from 6:00PM to 8:30PM. The last trail will be at 7:30PM with stops along the way to trick-or-treat. Costumes encouraged. $5 per person; bring a flashlight. The event will take place at 7550 East Spring Street.

The Bixby Knolls Community Carnival will be held on Saturday, October 31 from 6:00PM to 9:00PM at 3601 Linden Avenue. Over 14 carnival rides and no admission fees. Traditional carnival food will be available. The carnival will be held in collaboration with Grace Long Beach and King’s Church.

The Aquarium of the Pacific will hold its 16th annual Scarium of the Pacific, featuring a costume contest, face painting, underwater pumpkin carving and magic shows. The event will take place on Saturday, October 24 and Sunday, October 25, from 9:00AM to 5:00PM on both days. Event is free with regular admission. Children in costume get in free with a printable coupon. Gear up to get scared at 100 Aquarium Way.

The three-day Long Beach Zombie Walk Festival will take place at Rainbow Lagoon on Friday, October 23, from 5:00PM to 11:00PM; Saturday, October 24, 2:00PM to 11:00PM, and Sunday, October 25, 2:00PM to 10:00PM. The event will feature a Thriller workshop, freakshow wrestling, a haunted maze, and Zombie Apocalypse laser tag. The infamous Zombie Walk through Shoreline Village will take place on Saturday at 7:00PM. To be held at 400-435 Shoreline Village Drive.

The Museum of Latin American Art will hold Dia de los Muertos-themed events. On Friday, October 30, starting at 8:00PM, the MOLAA will hold a Dia de los Muertos Gala honoring the memory and music of Selena with musical performances by Thee Commons, Boogaloo Assassins and Buyepongo. There will also be a live art demonstration by Los Angeles-based muralist Robert Vargas. The event will also serve as the opening of the second annual Art & Altar exhibition. On Saturday, October 31, renowned author Sandra Cisneros will read and sign copies of her latest book A House of My Own: Stories from My Life, from 3:00PM to 5:00PM. Tickets are $9 for non-members. On Sunday, November 1, the museum will hold a Dia de los Muertos Festival, featuring art workshops, live performances, gallery tours, and a community altar exhibition. Festivities begin at 11:00AM. The event is free and kicks off at 628 Alamitos Avenue.

Pa’s Pumpkin Patch will host a petting zoo, games and rides. The venue is open Monday through Friday, 11:00AM to 9:00PM; Saturday through Sunday 10:00AM to 9:00PM; and Halloween day from 10:00AM to 6:00PM. The patch is located at 6701 East Pacific Coast Highway.

The Shoreline Village Haunted House will continue October 21-25, 28-31. Admission is $5. Check out the website for times and other information. Located at 401-435 Shoreline Village Drive.

The Queen Mary’s Dark Harbor attraction will open daily from 7:00PM to midnight (open until 1:00AM on Fridays and Saturdays). Admission prices begin at $24 at the door. Hit up the event  at 1126 Queens Highway.
