The Belmont Shore Chalk Walk art contest drew a big crowd Saturday as artists used poster board and chalk as their medium and the sidewalk as their easel.

Artists of all ability levels had seven hours to complete their pieces, starting at 9 a.m.

The walk showcased artists from Long Beach and from as far as Illinois, according to Justin Rudd, who organized the walk with his Community Action Team.
