From the Tiki Festival in Belmont Shore to the Art Deco Festival at the Queen Mary, there’s plenty of fun and entertaining things to do and see this weekend.

“Ohana O Ke Kai” Tiki Beach Festival 

The 17th annual Tiki Beach Festival, the last major Alfredo’s Beach Club event of the summer, will be held Saturday and Sunday in honor of Fred Khammar and how “his vision, personality and perseverance” improved and shaped Long Beach’s coastline community over a period of almost 20 years. Guests can expect to see tiki dancers, a fire show, a Polynesian food court, island marketplace and live Hawaiian music.


 

The festival will take place at Granada Beach in Belmont Shore and is free to attend. Food, beverages and merchandise will be for sale. For more information, check out the webpage here

The 7th Annual Taste of Brews 

Always held on the third Saturday of August, Taste of Brews is heading back to Long Beach to celebrate its seven-year anniversary of bringing dozens of local, regional and national craft breweries together for guests to try more than 120 styles of micro-brews, hard ciders and hard seltzers. Mobile restaurants, vendor booths and live bands will also be a part of the scene during the festival, to take place with an ocean front view at Shoreline Aquatic Park.

Online-only pricing starts at $30 for the three-hour session from 1:00PM to 4:00PM and $40 for the four-hour session from noon to 4:00PM. You can purchase tickets via the website here. Prices will be higher at the door.

The 13th Annual Art Deco Festival at the Queen Mary

This Saturday and Sunday, check out the largest Art Deco collection in the world, alongside festival activities, vintage shopping, drinking, dining and one-of-a-kind lectures by experts about the opulent period in time. In collaboration with the Los Angeles Art Deco Society, expect fans to come dressed in their vintage best for this weekend of glamour and grandeur.

Summer and Music’s Buskerfest 

On Saturday, local bands Big Bad Rooster, Blind John Pope, Bootleg Orchestra, Bundy, Family Thief, Litronix, MoForro and Snake Oil Salesmen will vye for wooden nickels and the $2,500 prize package. Set to close out the Downtown Long Beach Alliance’s Summer and Music Festival, the free event will also feature headliners Milo Greene, WARGIRL, Matt Wignall, Joachim Cooder and more.


 

Buskerfest will take place at First Street and Linden Avenue in downtown Long Beach.

Bodeck Hernandez x Jason Keam Art Show

Recent Pow! Wow! Long Beach and Cambodia Town Mural Project participants, the two artists and friends are coming together to show their work at Studio 1501 on Saturday. From 5:00PM to 11:00PM, paintings and murals by the artists will be on display with limited edition prints and other merchandise for sale, music by Terrence Marquis of FightClubLBC and refreshments to be served.

Studio 1501 is located at 1501 Daisy Avenue.
