538994 10151396332278586 507051758 nHip-hop artist Scott Mescudi, otherwise known as Kid Cudi, has entered rehab for depression and suicidal urges, he announced Tuesday night. However, he is still slated to perform at ComplexCon in November and his upcoming album is “still on its way,” according to a Facebook post addressed to fans.

“Yesterday I checked myself into rehab for depression and suicidal urges,” he wrote. “I am not at peace. I haven’t been since you’ve known me. If I didn’t come here, I would’ve done something to myself. I simply am a damaged human swimming in a pool of emotions everyday of my life.”

He said if all went well, he would appear on stage at ComplexCon, to be hosted in Long Beach November 5 and 6.

Mescudi’s announcement comes on the heels of Kanye West’s abrupt cancellation as the night two headliner, just 11 days after the festival announced he’d be joining the lineup.

Other headliners Skrillex, Travis Scott and Virgil Abloh remain on the agenda for night one of ComplexCon.

The inaugural culture festival is being helmed by Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Pharrell, the designated cultural director and host committee chair. Meanwhile, renowned contemporary artist Takashi Murakami has been tasked with designing the convention’s visual identity and overall aesthetic.
