longbeachcomicexpoLong Beach Comic Expo, in partnership with Geekfest Film Fest, the world’s first traveling film fest, and comic writer, rock musician and TV personality Jesse Snider will host its largest show ever, the sixth annual expo at the Long Beach Convention Center starting Saturday, February 28 through Sunday, March 1.

Alongside Long Beach Comic Con, Long Beach Comic Expo, known for its intimate setting, gives fans an actual chance to mingle up close and personally with their favorite artists without having to fight large crowds, while at the same time bringing just enough to the table to provide readers, fans, cosplayers and artists alike a big-time expo experience with a small-town feel.

A few high profile events not be missed include will the first Rotten Tomatoes Panel of 2015, with Rotten Tomatoes Editor-in-chief Matt Atchity and Senior Editor Grae Drake, Christy Lemire of What the Flick?!, Alonso Duralde from TheWrap, Schmoes from Schmoes Know and Scott Mantz of Access Hollywood.

EAT.GEEK.PLAY will host one-on-one creator spotlight panels with Long Beach Comic Expo guests of honor, bestselling writer Chris Claremont and bestselling artist Ethan Van Sciver, alongside comic book creators Sandy King Carpenter, Gerry Conway, Katie Cook, Terry & Rachel Dodson, Stan Sakai, and Richard Starkings.

Film and television guests will include • Barry Bostwick (Rocky Horror Picture Show); Tara Butters (Marvel’s Agent Carter) Lucianna Carro (Battlestar Galactica, Falling Skies & Helix), Kathy Coleman (Land of the Lost), MarcGuggenheim (Arrow), Noel Gugliemi (Walking Dead), Dean Haglund (X-Files), Richard Hatch (Battlestar Galactica), Lance Henriksen (Alien) Greg Weisman (Young Justice) and many more.

The inaugural Dwayne McDuffie Award for Diversity will be presented on Saturday at 2:00PM with keynote speaker Reginald Hudlin, writer, film director and producer, a major player in the modern black film movement, known for Django Unchained, House Party and Boomerang.

Always the family friendly event, Long Beach Comic Expo will honor special guests, The Four Horsemen Studio, Cecil Castellucci and Stan Sakai, for their dedication to creating stories for children and young adults. Events such as “Parenting in the Digital Age” and a Kid’s Cosplay and Costume Contest will entertain parents and their young ones.
