Entering into one of Yayoi Kusama’s Infinity Mirrored Rooms is like taking a short trip to outer space; you feel suspended in time surrounded by darkness, dazzling colors, patterns and points of light. Her installations and paintings are just as immersive, offering viewers a chance to step into her imaginative, often polka-dotted, world.

Get an inside look into Kusama’s life and psyche on Thursday, Nov. 15 during a one-night-only screening of the documentary, Kusama: Infinity, at the Art Theatre. Presented by Imprint Culture Lab and POW! WOW!, ticket proceeds will benefit the annual mural festival POW! WOW! Long Beach and the theatre.

From growing up in Japan during World War II in a dysfunctional family, dealing with her own mental illness and continuing to pursue her artistic practice despite all setbacks, Kusama’s work has garnered international acclaim; she is now the top-selling female artist in the world.
