You may have seen a burst of color gliding along downtown sidewalks and streets at events presented by Party On Pine. Some years ago, you may have seen her handing out derby flyers for events inside the dome that once housed the Spruce Goose.

Lately, it seems like Mimi Masher is everywhere. She’s working at MADE in Long Beach, is involved in a documentary about gay pride festivals, makes fun jewelry with a laser, is the co-host with Allison Kripp of a new cooking show called 2 Hot Dishes, runs the Long Beach Junior Roller Derby league, and is helping to organize next month’s Long Beach Irish Heritage Parade and Festival, taking place on Saturday, March 12. The parade starts on Pine Avenue and 6th Street at 2:00PM. She’s also helping to coordinate an exhibition of early candid portraits of Snoop Dogg, taken by Duke Givens.

Her character is perhaps more colorful than her hair and, in this video interview, it was a pleasure to speak with her about her burrito obsession, as well as her many other activities and interests.
