In this video interview, Long Beach artist Dean Triolo speaks about the retrospective of his work, presented by the Cultural Alliance of Long Beach at the Bungalow Art Center. The work spans 1999-2009, a period where Triolo was struggling to break free of his own creative limitations. In this interview, he speaks about his love of the Great Masters, how loss allowed him to discover new forms of expression, and shares stories about how his work was included on TV, in film, and in the Contemporary Art Collection of the California State Capitol Museum.

The retrospective is on display through Sunday, July 28. The Bungalow Art Center is located at 737 N. Pine Avenue, Long Beach, CA, 90813. Gallery hours are Wednesdays and Thursdays from 4 PM to 9 PM, and Saturdays and Sundays from Noon until 5 PM.
