Bottoms up, beer buffs. Beachwood Brewing is opening its third Long Beach location Thursday within the 2ND & PCH mall.

The award-winning brewery will be serving up IPAs, pilsners, seltzers and more just steps away from the Alamitos Bay Marina and local farmers markets. The new space at the heart of the shopping center is an outdoor tasting room.

“We’ve been working on this location since 2019, but COVID delayed the project significantly,” co-owner Gabriel Gordon said in a statement. “A tasting room just makes sense—it’s an open, outdoor tasting room, in a busy retail plaza in our own backyard.”

The space has two bar tops and other seating that is first-come, first-serve. Patrons also will be able to order food from six 2ND & PCH restaurants that can be delivered directly to Beachwood. Nearby eateries include Active Culture, The Italian Homemade, Noble Bird Rotisserie, Shake Shack, A PCH and Potato Chips Deli.

Beachwood’s flagship location has been operating on The Promenade in Downtown for over a decade.

Earlier this year, the company opened a distillery and tasting room inside the former Liberation Brewing Co. space in Bixby Knolls. Now licensed to distill spirits, Beachwood is experimenting with rum, gin and vodka recipes, with a full cocktail menu expected sometime in the winter, according to Gordon.

The new Beachwood tasting room is located at 6430 E. Pacific Coast Hwy., Suite 140. Operating hours are Monday-Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Sundays from 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
