3:02pm | The first of a series of community workshops titled Bicycle Master Plan Update took place at Lowell Elementary School on Saturday. More photos below.
Preceded by a bike ride through the Belmont Shore neighborhood and followed by a bicycle rodeo to teach children safety skills, the workshops included discussions involving innovative bicycle facility treatments and the planning of an alternative transportation system.
The ride left promptly at 11:00am, which left some latecomers circling the area searching in vain to catch up with the main body of bikers.
Others waited in the school playground where they found alternative ways to keep themselves amused until the meeting at 1:00pm.
