Dads and grads (and Mom are most certainly not excluded) can get behind the wheel of nearly 100 new vehicles in the first-ever auto show dedicated exclusively to test drives.

The SoCal Test Drive Expo is the evolution of auto shows, pairing a traditional auto show with the opportunity for guests to drive almost every car on the show floor. Taking place in and around the Long Beach Convention Center over Father’s Day Weekend, the SoCal Test Drive Expo will feature new makes and models from more than a dozen manufacturers and brands, including Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, GMC, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Fiat, Ford, Ram, Scion, Subaru, Toyota and Volkswagen.

The show’s one-stop registration process will allow guests to test drive the latest 2012 and preview some 2013 model cars, trucks, hybrids, crossovers and SUVs with a single $10 admission, all in a sales-free environment

Among the show exclusives and premieres, Dodge is bringing its 2013 Dodge Dart for the first-ever consumer test drives; Scion will bring its just-released 2013 Scion FR-S; and Subaru will showcase the West Coast premiere of the 2013 Subaru XV Crosstrek and bring the 2013 Subaru BRZ sports car for display viewing. Jeep will feature its Camp Jeep interactive adventure zone, where guests ride along with professional 4×4 drivers on an obstacle-filled, indoor track.

The event will take place at the Long Beach Convention Center beginning tomorrow from noon to 8:00pm. The show will continue through the weekend, with Saturday’s showing from 10:00am to 8:00pm and Sunday’s opening from 10:00am to 5:00pm.
