BiketoWorkDayLos Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) is celebrating Bike to Work Day on Thursday by offering many an incentive to pull that clunky two-wheeler out of the garage this week. Long Beach will also offer several things to do to celebrate the city’s pedaling people.

Start off your morning with a Pit Stop at Long Beach City Hall between 7:00AM and 9:00AM to be congratulated for riding to work. Join Long Beach Public works at The Promenade between 11:00AM and 1:30PM to participate in an interactive Bicycle Master Plan exercise, receive a free tune-up courtesy of Bikeable Communities and Pedal Movement and take the time to sign up for Long Beach Bike Share with the help of CycleHop.

Last, but not least, join Long Beach Bicycle Ambassador Tony Cruz at Berlin Bistro for coffee and breakfast treats, where group rides to City Hall will leave every half hour between 8:00AM and 9:00AM.

Visit Metro’s website here to find out all the awesome activities lasting through the end of Bike Month and Bike Week this year.
