Patients at Miller Children’s Hospital got to enjoy a special winter party on Friday, with visits from volunteers and Sesame Street’s own Elmo.
The Project Sunshine party was presented by the hospital in partnership with UnitedHealthcare’s Food for Thought program.
“UnitedHealth Group’s relationship with Project Sunshine aligns with our mission of helping build healthier communities, and provides an opportunity to harness the power of our amazing workforce and their passion for volunteering,” said Brandon Cuevas, CEO, UnitedHealthcare of California, in a statement.
Project Sunshine began partnering with UnitedHealth Group in 2010 and has had more than 13,200 volunteers; created 63,000 arts and crafts kits; and created 18,300 Sunny Grams for pediatric patients across the country.
