The final food-celebrative event of the three-part Taste of Downtown series, dedicated to all things scrumptious, will take place in one of the most highly recognized and gorgeous areas of downtown Long Beach: the waterfront, the Downtown Long Beach Associates announced Friday. On August 26 and 27, this two-day party of provisions will feature some of the best restaurant fare downtown has to offer.

According to DLBA Marketing and Events Manager Gina Dartt, June’s Taste event on Pine Avenue was their most successful grub fest yet.

“Nearly 4,000 people came to Pine Avenue over two days to sample the array of DTLB’s incredible culinary scene,” Dartt said in a statement. “This points to two strengths: the desire for these food-based events and the increasing quality of the restaurants participating.”

This upcoming festival will feature an entirely new layout, incorporating the waterfront’s famed band shell at Rainbow Harbor as its focal point, according to the announcement. A beer and wine garden, courtesy of Auld Dubliner and Cielo at The Sky Room, alongside views of the harbor and southern shore, should knock your socks off as you sample bites from the newest addition to the block, Padre, as well as Famous Dave’s BBQ and Coldstone Creamery, among others.

See below for the full list of participating eateries:

  • Auld Dubliner
  • Beachwood BBQ
  • BO-Beau Kitchen + Roof Tap
  • Buono’s Authentic Pizzeria
