LB Food Review’s first time out for First Fridays was an absolute blast. We rode the Big Red Bus to several kickin’ spots on Atlantic Avenue, enjoying the sights and sounds of an excellent community night out.
We had a great time sampling the appetizers at Nino’s Italian Restaurant (3853 Atlantic Ave.), including mini pizzas topped in either pesto or handmade tomato sauce, delicious cauliflower pancakes, zucchini, and shrimp with mushrooms. And of course, the cocktails were flowing, as was the conversation.
We also had a lot of fun doing work on the fantastic beer taps at The Factory. The place was absolutely jam packed but it was an awesome, high energy atmosphere both inside and out on the patio. We will post photos of the evening as soon as we gather them all together. It was a fantastic night out in Bixby Knolls, and we can’t wait for the next one.
On that note, LB Food Review will be hosting the 2010 Sizzlin’ Summer Night Out on Saturday, May 15th. This three course progressive dinner will start aboard the Big Red Bus, which will transport our guests to The Factory for starters and drinks, then on to Nino’s for the main course, and finally to Phil Trani’s for dessert and coffee before bringing us all back to the meeting place. The price is $50 per guest, and includes transportation, dinner, and one beverage at each restaurant. Tickets go on sale soon, so keep an eye out and save your spot early!
