Popular hip-hop-inspired cookie brand Cookie Plug will celebrate its newest location in the Lakewood Center with a grand opening ceremony on Saturday, Nov. 18.

The new shop is located next to Burger King in the Target wing of the mall. The ribbon cutting on Saturday is set for 10 a.m. and the shop will give samples, host giveaways and have an all-day opening-day sale where customers can get a dozen cookies for the price of four.

Since first opening in 2019, Cookie Plug has grown massively over the last four years. Franchise co-owners Julie and Lee Meng will also open another location at the Long Beach Towne Center soon. There is no set date yet.

The Southern California-based brand takes inspiration from West Coast ’90s hip-hop for its store aesthetics and cookie names. Its notoriously thick cookies are freshly baked daily in-house and flavors are rotated periodically.

Currently, the shop offers a “Snooperdoodle,” “Mac Daddy” (white chocolate macadamia), a fruity cereal “Bam Bam” cookie and more.

Cookie Plug is at 500 Lakewood Center Mall, Suite #003.
