Get to know Filipino dishes during a pop-up dinner Oct. 29 presented by two Long Beach chefs in celebration of Filipino-American History Month.

Chefs AC Boral, founder of Rice & Shine Eats, and Raquel “Roq” Jubran, chef/co-owner of Lasher’s Kitchen, will host an eight-course family-style menu featuring traditional dishes like the popular chicken adobo, which includes chicken marinated in vinegar, soy sauce, garlic and black peppercorns.

“Chef Roq and I are excited to share our culture and some of the foods we grew up on with Long Beach diners,” Boral stated.

“A collaboration with fellow Filipino-American Chef AC is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time, and we figured October being Filipino-American History Month, the timing would be perfect!” said Jubran.
