LB Food Review’s Summer Kickoff Progressive Dinner took place on Saturday, May 15th with a trip on the Big Red Bus to three great restaurants in Bixby Knolls. With a crowd of over 50 Long Beach food lovers, it was an awesome night out on the town! You can see the pictures that 562CityLife took of the event here.

The Factory Gastrobar served up a first course of tapas, starting us off with chicken, bacon, and goat cheese wrapped in Romaine lettuce hearts along with beer samplers. From there things got really interesting as they broke out the sangria to help us wash down the grass-fed barbecue pulled Bison sliders. These little guys were absolutely delicious.

Nino’s Italian Restaurant served up a main course buffet of various pasta dishes, along with red and white wine. We took over their art bar for an hour and had a great time, enjoying the dinner as well as a few cocktails.

Phil Trani’s hosted our crew for dessert, which was a choice of creme brulee cheesecake, apple pie, truffles, kakiki coffee, or spumoni ice cream. The atmosphere at Trani’s is always electric, and Saturday night was no different, with plenty of dancing as the drinks flowed

LB Food Review hopes that our guests had a fabulous time at this event and got to experience another side of our participating restaurants. We are already working on the next event, so keep an eye out here, on Facebook, or on Twitter!
