LGBdining2Long Beach Airport (LGB) has been nominated for USA Today’s 10Best Airport for Dining list by readers of USA TODAY and 10Best, according to the website. And can you blame ‘em?

LGB has a concentrated section of some our city’s best places to grub, a difficult dilemma when it comes to choosing your pre-flight meal or beverage, but a clear visual marker of not only our airport’s taste in cuisine, but Long Beach’s revered restaurant business.

With wine, beer and small plates offered by Retro Row’s 4th Street Vine Wine & Beer Bar to the always hearty Greek staples served at downtown’s George’s Greek Cafe, LGB fittingly carries some of Long Beach’s most well known flavors. Not to mention the South Concourse carries Polly’s Coffee & Sweet Jill’s Bakery, two Belmont Shore-based businesses that have always added a little sweetness and a smile to their loyal patrons.

As of 5:00PM on Friday, LGB sits in a resounding second place just behind Denver International Airport, with Los Angeles International Airport in a close fifth place. Let’s show USA Today that Long Beach has the Best Airport for Dining by voting once a day before February 10 at 9:00AM.
