Cesar’s Bistro, a Long Beach restaurant serving Latin American Cuisine, will treat those struggling with homelessness to a holiday lunch on Monday at 10:00AM.

The luncheon, to be held at Beacon for Him Ministries Homeless Outreach, will provide lunch specialties prepared by Cesar’s Bistro Chef Cesar Villarreal and served by Chef Cesar’s wife and co-owner Luz Angelica Torres, as well as the restaurant’s staff.

The multi-course early lunch will provide a meal for 100 homeless men, women and children.

“We realize that there are many among us who don’t get the chance to dine out at our restaurant,” said Luz Angelica Torres in a statement. “Providing this lunch is our way of of giving back to the Long Beach community this holiday season while bringing attention to the city’s growing homelessness concern.”

On the menu will be lentil soup, Chef Cesar’s specialty sautéed rice with pork and chicken and the restaurant’s signature empanadas.

“We were excited and thankful when Cesar’s Bistro approached us about serving lunch to our clients,” said Shannon James, president at Beacon for Him Ministries, in a statement. “Our clientele does not get the opportunity to enjoy our local restaurants so this will be very much appreciated.”
