Updated information will be shared via the website here and the Facebook page here.

What was Moonshiners, located at 130 Pine Ave. in downtown Long Beach and described as a “wannabe craft cocktail joint” by LongBeachize, is on its way to getting a full makeover by Pier 76 owner and chef Chris Krajacic, LongBeachize reported Thursday. The new endeavor, called The Harbor, will offer an adult arcade (think Skee-ball, shuffleboard, maybe pinball) and a contemporary menu featuring items like Island Creek oysters, lobster fondue and lacquered chicken bites.

As one door closes, another door opens, as is the case with Bixby Knolls-raised restaurant Delius, which is closing its Signal Hill location after 11 years, Eater LA announced last week. Its owners, husband-and-wife duo Louise and David Solzman are close to opening their new venture, Table 301, located at the ongoing downtown development, The Streets.

Salud Juice Reopens Into Bigger, Brighter, Better Retro Row Space

Salud Juice has invited the community to an official celebration of their expansion from its first Cherry Avenue location to a bigger and brighter space one door over on Fourth Street.  So, on Saturday, June 30, you can check out the remodeled juicery and vegan-friendly eatery—now three times larger than the original—while participating in indoor and outdoor fun, including a dunk tank, mini half-pipe, local vendors, a photo booth, a DJ and more from noon to 5 p.m.

When new Federal Bar Head Chef Tia Baker was introduced to Long Beach she had already implemented monthly “Flights Around the World,” offering food and drink pairings from different countries. Now Baker has added dozens of new menu items, The Federal announced, including the Grilled Tomahawk Pork Chop (with grilled peaches, brown sugar brandy glaze, grilled broccolini and mashed potato puree) and Mexican Street Corn (with grilled sweet corn, a variety of cheeses, chili dust, fresh lime juice and chipotle aioli). Check out the full “California Fusion” menu here.

Bigmista’s Barbecue & Sammich Shop is closing on July 1, so if you’ve been hankering for some of Long Beach’s most underrated “flat-out amazing food,” now would be the time to stop by. Owners Neil and Phyllis Strawder’s reason for closing the flagship eatery (after announcing the closure of their breakfast joint) involved issues getting out of their lease and realizing it was simply time to move on, according to LongBeachize.
