The one-year anniversary of one of Retro Row’s most coveted dining establishments is just around the corner and the owner wants to celebrate Long Beach-style by giving something back to the community, other than serving up a delicous veggie burger, that is

Restauration will celebrate its anniversary on Wednesday, July 22 with a traditional Bluegrass Boil with all the accompaniments (including live entertainment) from 5:00PM to 10:00PM, and will donate $10 of the $30 pricetag to The Long Beach Depot for Creative Reuse, an organization that supplies found objects to artists, educators, students and hobbyists.

“We wanted to celebrate our anniversary with doing something unique menu-wise, but also give back to the community and to a cause that’s particularly important to us,” said Dana Robertson, owner of Restauration, in a statement.

She said the restaurant embraces the depot’s philosophy of finding creative ways to reuse found and forgotten objects, in an effort to not only give something to the community, but to reduce waste as well.

Restauration integrated upcycled, vintage and repurposed materials in their own building, along with the decor and sources local, seasonal and responsibly grown ingredients for their menu selections.

The two-course Bluegrass Boil will consist of buckets of shrimp, clams, sausage, red potatoes and corn, while guests may include a Lobster Tail for an additional $12. The boil will be served with freshly baked baguettes with clambake jus and drawn butter, plus a slice of homemade summer fruit pie. Sangria and beer specials will round out the evening’s menu. A pescatarian option will also be available.
