Driving though LB I find all kinds of little places that I want to try and for the last year or so I have wanted to stop and give Tony’s a go. This particular morning I was running errands with my brother Brett before leaving for Catalina and my bachelor party, so we decided to find a place to dock the Benz and roll on in.
When you walk in, there are two sides of the restaurant separated by the kitchen in the middle. As you find a stool to sit on you will be able to see all of the goodies being cooked and served to the other patrons. The smell and sight of all the different dishes make it hard to choose, but this felt like a breakfast burrito place to me. I had very little trouble deciding that I wanted to have Chrorizo, Egg, Potato, and Refried Beans inside, and it proved to be a great decision. There was a good amount of chroizo and egg that was perfectly cooked as to not have the grease trail running from my hand to my elbow. The potatoes and beans added just that right amount of complementing flavor and the salsa was delicious.
Brett decided to order the pancakes and eggs, as he usually does. It proved to good, but nothing special. He left wishing that he would have had a burrito as I, and many of the others, did. So next time you are looking for a killer breakfast burrito and new place to try, head on over to Tony’s Breakfast Place on Fourth Street. Tell them LB Food Review sent you!
