5:00pm | The Office of Estate and Gift Planning at California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) is offering a free, three-part seminar series titled “Protect Your Financial Assets…Today, Tomorrow and Always.” The first seminar will be held Tuesday, January 25, on “Protecting What You Have Now: Investment Strategies and Risk Management,” followed by the second offering on Wednesday, Feb. 9, titled “Protecting What You Will Have for the Future: Retirement Planning Ideas, Insurance and Health Care Options,” and concluding with the final segment on Tuesday, Feb. 22, called “Protecting What You Leave to Others: Estate Planning, Including Wills and Trusts.”

Each of the seminars will run from 5:30pm to 7:00pm in the CSULB’s Pyramid Annex Conference Center. Those attending are directed to enter the campus using the Atherton Street/Merriam Way entrance and park in Lot 13, the lot adjacent to the Walter Pyramid.

“This three-part series will answer many of the financial planning and tax questions during this unpredictable economic climate,” said Susan Berkman, CSULB’s assistant vice president for estate and planned giving. “Professionals from various fields will be on hand to share ideas, answer questions and give updates on planning for the future with the ever-changing tax codes.”

Berkman stressed that the seminar series is for educational purposes only.  There is no sales pitch, and no products will be sold. While the seminar series is free, registration is required, and space is limited.  Those interested can register by phone at 562/985-5607 or register online here.  For more information, contact Rachel Sanchez at [email protected]
