‘Tis the season for brews, perfectly befitting of the German-inspired Oktoberfest season. Look no further for a breakdown of Oktoberfest festivities and other beer-tastic events in Long Beach slated to occur this month.

Long Beach Oktoberfest

The annual Long Beach Oktoberfest, presented by Taste of Brews, is back again for its second year this Saturday, October 15, at Shoreline Aquatic Park, 200 Aquarium Way, from noon to 6:00PM. Festivities will include contests, live music, German food trucks, and more. According to the event page, Long Beach’s very own Bearwulf will play along with traditional Oktoberfest Oompah music. General admission is $10 and $25 for VIP, which includes two free beers and access to private reserves. For more details, click here.

Long Beach Craft Beer Festival

Looking for a much bigger event with good food and beer from local Long Beach restaurants? Check out the Long Beach Craft Beer Festival, kicking off this Friday, October 14, and Saturday, October 15. Supporting the Hospitality Management Program, this inaugural event at CSULB will feature beer from over 50 breweries, along with food trucks and live music.

According to event schedule, there will be an invite-only happy hour and brewers reception on Friday at the CSULB Nugget Grill & Pub from 5:00 to 9:00PM and a specialty craft beer and food pairing event at the Chartroom Restaurant from 6:00 to 8:00PM. The main festival will be held on Saturday at the Jack Rose Track Stadium, from 2:00 to 5:00PM, while VIP members have early access starting at 1:00PM. Tickets are $49 and $64 for VIP. Pour on 4th

If you’re looking to enjoy good food and admire the local art and culture of Long Beach while still in the mood for libations, then the second annual Pour on 4th event is totally for you. The event is set to take place this Saturday, October 15, from 2:00 to 6:00PM at Retro Row. The event brings local businesses and retailers on 4th Street to serve food, beer and wine to the public in celebration of the uniquely named area. There will be $4 to $6 food specials by local restaurants and wine tastings. Local artists will also be performing at various locations on 4th Street. Tickets are $25 for pre-sale and $35 at the event.


 

Fall Block Party and Oktoberfest at The Social List

While not as big as the three events listed above, The Social List tavern has got you covered with its fall block party event this Saturday, October 15, from 6:00 to 10:00PM, if you and friends are looking for a much smaller celebration. Those attending Pour on 4th and still in mood for more drinks will also be able to attend this block party at The Social List, located at 2105 East 4th Street, is on Retro Row. According to the Facebook event page, the block party will showcase local art by Marco Saiz and Hely Omar Gonzalez while customers can hang out with friends or family. For $15, customers can acquire a stein and beer, according to the page. Customers who bring in their stein will receive $2 off any craft beer for the remainder of October.
