1:10pm | We Love Long Beach is currently nominated for a $50,000 Pepsi Refresh grant to provide free breakfasts and BBQ’s for 20 neighborhoods in the city of Long Beach. Only the top 10 vote getters will receive the grant in this voting contest. While we have been doing these events for years, the awarding of this grant money would enable us to get more supplies and add more events to our calendar.
The next We Love Long Beach breakfast is scheduled for Saturday, January 8 at Martin Luther King, Jr. Park to kick off the annual Peace Week. We hope that by receiving national recognition we will inspire other cities and communities to follow our lead of promoting strong relationships among neighbors & celebrating community diversity.
Voting is now through December 31st. Each person may vote once per day for the idea of their choice. There are a few different ways to vote.
