9:43am | On Saturday August 13, 2011, the Dream Street Foundation will celebrate the completion of a 29-mile, 7.5-hour seafaring journey undertaken by Sean Clancy and Bill Rasmussen in a one-man kayak from Catalina Island to Long Beach Harbor. The duo engaged in this activity to raise money and awareness for the aforementioned Dream Street Foundation, a Beverly Hills non-profit organization that sends critically and chronically ill children to summer camp for free.
Kayaking for Kids! has raised over $50,000 since Sean first began a solo journey in 2008.
The Kayaking for Kids! celebration event will be held at the Hotel Maya, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
The event is sponsored by Hotel Maya, Signal Hill Petroleum, Global Payments, Creative Communications, and Beringer Vineyards. There will be a buffet lunch for attendees, as well as face painting, balloon twister, and a character artist and drawing table.
