The Bixby Knolls Business Improvement Association (BKBIA) is hosting the sixth annual Kidical Mass, a family-friendly neighborhood ride, at Georgie’s Place on Sunday.

Kidical Mass has grown over the past six years into a source of pride for the neighborhood, instilling confidence in kids learning how to ride their bikes in a group and in the streets. The monthly ride averages 4.5 miles and takes participants through the Bixby Knolls, Cal Heights, Los Cerritos and Virginia neighborhoods.

Kidical Mass to Celebrate Third Anniversary with Afternoon Ride

Cyclists are advised to wear a helmet (it’s required by law for children under the age of 18 to use a helmet). The Health Department will be on site before the ride to help adjust helmets and to pass out helmets to those who need one.

Music will be playing throughout the event and ice cream will be provided for attendees. The event will include the annual Blessing of the Bikes by Pastor Danny Bradfield. The ride will begin at Georgie’s Place at 1:00PM.
