LIVE CHAT: Performers from today’s Uptown Jazz Festival

The show goes on for the 9th annual Uptown Jazz Festival today (Sunday, Oct. 18) at 3 p.m. in North Long Beach as the party moves online.

“The Best of Uptown,” features the likes of the Tatiana Tate Quartet, DW3, Boxcar 7, Biscuits & Gravy Live, Susie Hansen Latin Band, She Wears Blackand means to celebrate the unique businesses, landmarks and artists of North Long Beach.

Speaking of artists, we spoke with musicians Tatiana Tate and Scott Griffith, lead singer of Boxcar 7, as well as spoken word artist Philosophy, about the festival and how it has been to be an artist without an audience to perform for.
