Long Beach Comic-Con gives cosplayers a place ‘to find your people’
Spiderman, Deadpool, Batman and bevy of characters from Star Wars came to the annual Long Beach Comic-Con on Saturday, a tradition many attendees say is about art and creativity.
The two-day convention included cosplay, carnival games, Nerf wars, dozens of exhibits and on Saturday, a costume contest for the best villain, best hero, best space theme and more.
Attendees came from as far as Florida, Nevada, New York and elsewhere. “You won’t know the feeling of finally finding your people if you haven’t gone to Comic-Con,” said attendee Kathia Obregon.
The convention continues from 11 to 5 p.m. Sunday. For information, click here.
