dogvacayThis Tuesday, August 26, DogVacay and Uber are joining forces for National Dog Day by givng Uber riders a chance to help fund “Freedom Rides,” which give shelter animals a better chance of finding a forever home.

For every Uber ride taken in Los Angeles, Orange County or Central CA on Tuesday, $5 will be donated to START Rescue, a non-profit organization dedicated to saving dogs from high-kill shelters. Help send a pup on one of the many START Rescue’s life-saving “Freedom Rides” simply by taking an Uber car ride from the bar to home, on your way to work, to the grocery store or even to the airport.

Here’s how you can help. Before you hail a ride on Uber, enter the promo code “DOGVACAY” into the app, which will automatically send a $5 donation to START Rescue. All funds raised will help pay for as many flights to the Pacific Northwest as possible so that more dogs can have a second chance at living a full life with a loving family.

So go ahead, have an extra drink after work this Tuesday, call an Uber car, and take a ride for the sake of saving a canine’s life (and your own).
