Martin Luther King, Jr. Park will be home to a festive and altruistic drawing Saturday.

The lucky winners will get first dibs on quality turkeys, Thanksgiving baskets and pies, courtesy of the Long Beach Ministers Alliance (LBMA).

“We understand this is a time when the opportunity to connect and bless our community has never been more important as well as rewarding,” said Long Beach Ministers Alliance President Gregory Sanders. “It is our goal to provide complete Thanksgiving needs [at least] 200 families.”

For those looking to join the drawing that could provide an entire holiday meal for the family, stick to the following guidelines:

  • Arrive between 8:00AM and 10:00AM for a wristband.
  • Listen to see if your number is selected at the 11:00AM drawing.
  • Pick that turkey, basket and pie…and eat up!

Martin Luther King, Jr. Park is located at 1950 Lemon Avenue.
