Margie Darrow has followed her artistic muse with trust and confidence, and wound up in some surprising and wonderful places.  Her painting combines an organic fluidity with rigid structure, creating images that pop right off the surface.  Shes recently taken to painting on wood, but wood that shes cut to foreground the subject, creating a sculptural feel.  Shes also a successful illustrator, graphic artist, and a member of Fallopian Artopians, a performance painting trio.

We met recently in her studio, a converted garage in Belmont Heights, to talk about her work.  Click on the Podcast graphic to start listening.
