Vince Neil, the former hard-rocking lead vocalist for Mötley Crüe before launching a successful solo career, will perform in concert during the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach after the racing events conclude (approximately 5:30 p.m.) on Saturday, Sept. 25.
The concert, in front of the Long Beach Performing Arts Center, is free to ticket-holders.
The performance will be Neil’s second trip to the race’s concert stage. He performed here in 2015.
“I’ve been involved in the racing world my whole life,” Neil said in a statement. “So when you mix racing and rock and roll into one event, I’m in heaven.”
In addition to his 2015 performance at the Grand Prix, Neil raced on the track in an Indy Lights series car and again in the pro category of the 1995 Toyota Pro/Celebrity race.
Neil’s career with Mötley Crüe spanned much of the band’s 34-year career, with a break in the mid-1990s. In his concerts, he and his band perform hits from Mötley Crüe as well as from his own solo albums.
Space for the Sept. 25 show is limited and is on a first-come basis.
General admission for Saturday, Sept. 25 is $68. To purchase tickets, go to the Grand Prix’s website or call 888-827-7333.
